NEWS: WING SON ON HIS MIND

Hip menswear brand Yoko Devereaux (yokod.com) is no longer a solo venture. The six-year-old Brooklyn-based line with a cult following announced a partnership today with Wing Son Garments Ltd (wingson.com), an activewear manufacturer headquartered in Toronto, Canada. As part of the deal, Wing Son will invest an undisclosed amount that will give it a 50% ownership of the brand. “This is a very exciting opportunity for both myself and the Yoko Devereaux brand,” said the label’s creative director, Andy Salzer, in a written statement. “To have the opportunity to really focus on my role as creative director within the company is ideal. And to work with such a talented and well-respected organization such as Wing Son is really a dream come true. For a growing brand like Yoko Devereaux, a relationship like this is key.” Read more at Sportswearnet, com.
