PARTY: USELESS MAGAZINE

It seems like every month a new indie/arty/culture mag launches. But Useless magazine is not as useless as its name suggests. The mag, which is created by Conrad Ventur—downtown scenester/photographer/party promoter started as a zine which Ventur handed out at his events and other nightclubs, is now a tabloid sized glossy with innovative design, profiles of creative types, interviews, and directional fashion.

 

 

The party for issue #5 was held in the loft space used by Andy Salzer, creative director of Yoko Devereaux, as his home, office and store, in a part of Williamsburg where few hipsters have dared to inhabit. The party was filled with the downtown beautiful crowd- artists, designers, party people, writers, were all in the mix.

 

 

The new issue features (among a huge list of others) Matthieu Laurette, Iwona Blaswick, Miltos Manetas, Chicks On Speed, Cocorosie, Jennifer West, John Isaccs and the band 'The Coydogs' featured wearing Yoko Devereaux...
