We love checking in to SHOWStudio where we can always see behind the scenes at some amazing fashion shoots. This week, SHOWStudio is teaming up with Gareth Pugh in a series of exclusive events. Pugh set up a temporary work place in the studio space at 1-9 Bruton Place, and is handcrafting a one of a kind garment exclusively for SHOWstudio SHOP. Offering the unprecedented opportunity for viewers to witness this innovative and award-winning British designer at work, the SHOWstudio.com webcams will record every moment as Pugh creates. And, viewers can email Pugh questions, which he will answer while at work. The final garment will be exclusively photographed by Nick Knighton 24 November in the SHOWstudio SHOP studio at Bruton Place. The entire creative process can be seen online here.

Buy it now at Colette.fr
PS: An English banknote designed by Jack & Dinos Chapman is hidden inside one copy of AnOther, sold at colette.
NEW YORK –The Fashion Week for cool people at Milk Studios is getting cooler by the week. Already, Proenza Schouler, Alexander Wang, and ThreeAsFour are showing in the space instead of the Mercedes Benz tents or other off-site venues. Confessions of a Casting Director now reports that one of our favorite designers, Gareth Pugh, who shows in Paris, will show a video installation by Steven Klein at the space. Hooray! It’s not as thrilling as a runway show, but Gareth will be here in the flesh, perhaps wearing his nipple clamp. We hope he attracts Beyoncé — or Solange, at the least. Following weeks of rumours from the fashion front line, Bernard Arnault, chairman of LVMH, has confirmed that the luxury goods conglomerate he controls is financing Gareth Pugh’s shows. The rumour-mill went in to overdrive this week when Delphine Arnault, Bernard’s daughter, attended Pugh’s Paris menswear show, declaring it "amazing." The confirmation of support by Arnault however, may not put paid to the whispers just yet.For some time fashion insiders have been suggesting Pugh may be appointed to take the helm of an LVMH label. The house of Dior in particular has been proposed as a new home for the Sunderland-born designer who finds himself repeatedly named as a possible replacement for Kris Van Assche at Dior Homme. And there are no denials from the top. "He’s an interesting designer, and it’s good to support him," Arnault told Fashion Wire Daily "But LVMH does that with many talented people, even musicians."For now he remains an independent, but firmly under LVMH’s esteemed wing. Among a trio of surprises yielded by the Paris men’s fashion week schedule released Monday was this: Gareth Pugh is launching a men’s collection. The avant-garde designer from London has featured male models in his carnivalesque shows before, but a dedicated men’s show signals a clear commitment to shaking up the category. And he’s not alone. Another fashion-forward editorial favorite, Rick Owens, will present his men’s collection in a Paris show as well. He has designed men’s wear for years but has never shown it outside of a women’s show…
The Paris men’s shows will be bookended by newcomers of interest, commencing Jan. 22 with Hugo, the modern and urban Hugo Boss line designed by Belgian Bruno Pieters, and concluding with Pugh.
London’s indie fashion scene has sparks iconoclasts and geniuses like Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen and this season the city’s rising stars did not disappoint. There were tons of strange fashion statements on the runways from some of our favorite British young designers. We’ve got a few pics after the jump.
Our friend Henry Holland, (pictured left) one of the most imitated and directional designers in London right now (and a real cutie!) is also a party correspondent for Hintmag. He recently attended a breakfast line launch for Uniqlo’s newest high end denim and cashmere pieces which will be available for Holiday. Hosting the event were London’s boldest names in fashion right now– Gareth Pugh, Cassette Playa’s Carri Mundane and Kim Jones, who were wearing the tees they deisgned for Uniqlo’s UT project, See his full recap on Hintmag.
Can you believe its been more than a decade since we put on our neon slouchy pants, raided our kid sister’s toybox for some new "accessories" and headed out to an abandoned warehouse for some all night partying? Well, get out your glow sticks! The Care Bears are making a comeback, and so is the rave scene, with bands like the Klaxons providing the soundtrack, and UK’s Cassette Playa designing the outfits for the New Rave movement. Carrie Mundane, designer of Cassette Playa calls her style "aceeed sartorialism", and her collection is a sensory overload of insanely bright colored op art graphics on contemporary bodies.
