What will you be wearing on Election Day? Claw Money’s got an all-American reworked vintage jacket that would be an awesome statement next Tuesday. Read all about her latest projects at V Magazine: They call her Claw Money. The 38-year-old New York graffiti artist has progressed beyond just painting public walls, now establishing herself at the forefront of the urban-artist brigade. (Her sneaker designs for Nike led our pick of the bunch last season.) Her latest venture takes flight in the form of a reworked Starter jacket. "It’s a hats off to the life I had long ago and to the new one I have now," confesses Claw (short for Claudia), who has been voraciously collecting vintage apparel and accessories for the better part of the past two decades. "These jackets were such a classic design staple from the ’90s, and after adding a touch of Claw Money flair to the stars and stripes, I think they’re even better than the original!" No arguments there.

Our favorite singer, more known for her stints in and out of rehab, was hospitalized two nights ago for a bad mix of drugs (apparently taken as part of her cleaning up regimen…to be disputed). Although this isn’t very exciting news since it seems to be a weekly occurrence and we can keep track of Amy as much as we can of Britney’s antics, it is news to us because of her apparel choice.; Amy was wearing a CLAW Money tank when being escorted to the hospital! -ABG (ANIMAL)

Cobra Snake was on hand to snap photos of the Claw Money x Boost Mobile launch party. Working with Boost, Claw has created a line of eight vegan friendly, environmentally sound bags and cases. Claw’s characteristic bold prints and custom charms drive the collection.

Santo Gold popped the party’s energy level with an awesome live performance.

Blogger Josh Spear did a nice write up of our girl Claw MONEY’s new collabo with Boost: After dropping out of the Fashion Institute of Technology Queens-born NYC grafitti artist Claw Money hooked up with her PMS crew and took up bombing urban landscapes. Despite being a fashion school dropout, she hasn’t dropped fashion altogether. Not only does she have her own signature clothing line, but she’s also served as a stylist for the likes of Ice T, Korn, and Guns and Roses as well as on projects for Nike and Adidas. Her latest collaboration combines her love for grafitti and fashion, as she’s been paired up with the mobile-minded merchants at Boost to create an eight-piece collection of bags that showcase her unique knack for urban fashion while also being pretty sensible solutions for shouldering your mobile load. The Claw Money XBoosted collection is made from low toxicity, vegan-approved artificial leather and consists of 3 mobile device cases, a traditional school boy nap sac, hip bag, round duffle bag and two laptop bags. Former graffiti artist and now fashion designer, Swindle editor and general troublemaker, Claw Money launched her Nike Vandal hi-top—based on the classic 1985 hoop shoe—last night with a party at I Heart store on Mott Street. Nike asks artists to collaborate on limited-edition kicks regularly, but this is the first time a woman has been enlisted. Claw told me that when she was offered the opportunity, she immediately chose the Vandal because it is one of her favorite styles, but she could never find it in her petite size. Now femme sneaker heads worldwide can rejoice!

Bombshell: The Life and Crimes of ClawMoney has just been released by PowerHouse books. the book’s title says it all- Bombshell is a photographic adventure into the wild and crazy life of Ms Claw MONEY, one of the world’s premiere female graff artists, as well as fashion editor, fashion designer and fashionista.
