In the time since Japanese designers Kaito Hori and Iku Furudate founded their women’s ready to wear label Commuun in 2005, it’s become a fixture of Paris Fashion Week. In addition to their designs — renowned for their light, airy pieces that mix and combine different fabrics to great effect — Commuun has also garnered attention for their undying commitment to sustainable and organic materials from season to season. The label’s FW10 collection, which showed on Monday at Palais de la Découverte, was all about prints, from a silver metallic jacket with a subtle leopard print, to a black and white fabric that reads like a modified houndstooth. More from Commuun’s runway show after the jump. (Steve Dool)
