A Dose of (capsule) Las Vegas: Idol Radec

California’s Big Sur may have forever earned a spot in pop music’s history books thanks to artists like the Beach Boys and Death Cab for Cutie, but it hasn’t ever been associated with legendary British act Joy Division — until now. Merging two distinct and seemingly unrelated influences, the FW10 collection from Idol Radec is part Pacific coast tranquility, part English rocker, for an overall sensibility the brand calls both “ruggedly classic” and “effortlessly chic.” From plaid wools designed to reflect the leisurely pace of Big Sur to a slim-fitting trench inspired by Ian Curtis, the ill-fated Joy Division frontman, the globe-spanning muses are evident throughout. Idol Radec will be at the Venetian for (capsule) Vegas this month; until then, imagine yourself hiking through the Redwoods listening to some synth-rock in one of the three looks below.
